Completely redesigned from the ground up, the Momentum Z delivers over 500 watts into 8Ω (1,000 watts into 4Ω / 2,000 watts into 2Ω) via a JFET (Junction Field Effect Transistor) input-stage topology, resulting in the most detailed yet musical D’Agostino amplifier we’ve ever experienced.
The JFET plays the critical role of moving the delicate musical signal through the first stage of the amplification process. D’Agostino’s implementation of this circuitry minimizes distortion and preserves micro-level musical details, which are then passed on to the main amplification stage without being masked or colored. This results in a quieter background that reveals subtle spatial cues, a more natural midrange bringing vocals and instruments to life, and a sense of openness that enhances the soundstage.
Additionally, D’Agostino’s unique Kinetic Drive Regulator maintains consistent voltage performance regardless of speaker demands, bringing transient reproduction to a new realm of realism.
