Following their 50th anniversary last year, Wilson Audio released their new The WATT Puppy loudspeaker. Widely considered Wilson’s most iconic speaker design, The WATT Puppy has been re-imaged and has received critical acclaim since its debut in Munich. It has quickly become a shop favorite here at Audio Concepts and found homes with many of our clients.
To properly celebrate the launch of The WATT Puppy, we will be hosting Wilson Audio’s own Peter McGrath. Peter will be leading an immersive demonstration and offering insight into the meticulous craftsmanship and groundbreaking performance of The WATT Puppy.
We will feature The WATT Puppy with Boulder’s new 812 DAC Preamplifier and 861 Power Amplifier, and are happy to also welcome Kenzo Horiuchi from Boulder.. Boulder has long been a staple of our reference-level demonstration system and has always excelled at effortlessly presenting true-to-life performances. These new Boulder components hit a much lower price point however, and should bring even more fans into the family. We personally love the Boulder and Wilson combination, and are sure this will be a real treat for everyone.
There will be two sessions for our Wilson event: one on Friday, October 4th, starting at 6:00pm and another on Saturday morning October 5th, starting at 10:00am. We’re keeping Friday’s event purposefully smaller and not promoting it on social media, so if you’d like a more personal visit we suggest making it to that one. Space is limited for both, however. Please RSVP for either time slot by clicking a button below.
That was an incredible event! Peter McGrath of Wilson Audio knows his stuff and shared a surprisingly wide range of music on the recently-released Wilson Audio WATT Puppy speakers. The Watt Puppy loudspeakers were driven by the new Boulder 861 Stereo Power Amplifier, and the Boulder 812 DAC/Preamp and digital-to-analog conversion of music thru dCS Lina DAC. Hats off to Kenzo from Boulder who explained the hand-made craftsmanship and technical high-points of the equipment. Special thanks to Mark, Jeff, Landon and the entire Audio Concepts team for hosting these great events. The authentically pure sound coupled with the camaraderie of the group in attendance, along with the great venue all remind me of the joy of sharing hi-fidelity with friends and family. One of the things I love about the Audio Concepts team is the high level of expertise and the very approachable way they bring that knowledge and experience to achieve beautiful results – with all systems collaborating beyond the sum of their parts. Being transported from operas to rock concerts to broadway to Sinatra to movie soundtracks – all as the artists intended is like magic. Thanks again!
